How do I number the pages of a PDF?
Add your PDF, choose where the numbers go and how they look, and press Add page numbers. The preview shows how page 1 will look. Use First number to continue numbering from another document, and tick No number on the first page for a cover; numbering then starts on page 2.
Numbers are added as real text in a standard font, so they print sharply and the rest of the page isn't changed. Everything happens in your browser, so your PDF is never uploaded.

Questions
Can I start numbering at a number other than 1?
Yes. Set First number, for example 5 to continue from a previous chapter.
How do I skip the cover page?
Tick No number on the first page. The second page then gets the first number.
Will numbers appear correctly on landscape or rotated pages?
Yes. Positions are worked out from how each page is displayed.
