How do I make a ringtone from a song?

Add a song (or a video), set the start and end of the part you want, and press Make ringtone. It's set to 30 seconds with a 1-second fade in and a 2-second fade out, which suits most phones. iPhone ringtones must be 40 seconds or less.

On iPhone, connect your phone to a computer, open Finder (Mac) or iTunes (Windows), and drag the M4R file onto your iPhone; it then appears in Settings, Sounds & Haptics, Ringtone. On Android, choose MP3, copy it to your phone, and pick it in Settings, Sound, Ringtone. Everything happens in your browser.
