AI photo enhancer: make images high resolution
Turn small or blurry photos into sharp, high-resolution images. AI upscaling adds real-looking detail at 2× or 4× the size.

How do I make a photo high resolution?
Add your photo, choose 2× or 4×, and press Enhance. An AI model (Real-ESRGAN) trained on millions of photos enlarges the image and rebuilds edges, textures and fine detail, while cleaning up blur and JPEG blockiness. A 500 × 500 photo becomes 1000 × 1000 at 2× or 2000 × 2000 at 4×. Drag the before/after slider to compare, then download.
The AI runs in your browser. On computers and phones with WebGPU (recent Chrome, Edge and Safari) it uses the graphics card and takes a few seconds; otherwise it runs on the processor and takes longer, so very large photos are reduced first. Results are capped at 16 megapixels so they open on any device. Everything happens in your browser, so your files are never uploaded.
| Original | 2× result | 4× result |
|---|---|---|
| 320 × 240 | 640 × 480 | 1280 × 960 |
| 640 × 480 | 1280 × 960 | 2560 × 1920 |
| 1000 × 1000 | 2000 × 2000 | 4000 × 4000 |

- How to make a photo high resolution (AI upscaling explained)
Make small or blurry photos high resolution with AI upscaling (2× or 4×), or enlarge logos and graphics instantly. Which upscaler to use and what to expect.
Questions
How is this different from the regular image upscaler?
The regular upscaler enlarges with smooth resampling and sharpening, which is instant. This one uses AI to rebuild detail, so blurry or low-quality photos look much sharper, but it takes longer.
Can it fix a blurry photo?
It makes mild blur and soft focus noticeably sharper. Heavy motion blur or a badly out-of-focus photo can't be fully recovered.
Does it work for faces?
Yes, faces come out cleaner and smoother. Very small faces may look slightly painted, because the AI has little to work from.
Is it free and private?
Yes. There are no credits or sign-up, and your photo never leaves your device.
Why is it slow on my phone?
Without WebGPU, the AI runs on the processor. Choose 2× or use a recent version of Chrome or Safari for faster results.
Can I upscale for printing?
Yes. Upscaling gives the print more pixels; check the result with the DPI checker or set the print size with Image to 300 DPI.
