Facebook video downloader
Paste a public Facebook link to save videos and Reels as MP4 or MP3. Free, no sign-up.
Only download media you own or have permission to use. Private, paid and DRM-protected content can't be saved.
Which Facebook links work
facebook.com/share/r/… and /share/v/… (share links)facebook.com/reel/…facebook.com/watch/?v=…facebook.com/…/videos/…fb.watch/…
Tips
- Share links from the Facebook app (facebook.com/share/…) work directly. You don't need to open them first.
- Videos in private groups or shared with friends only can't be downloaded.
If your Facebook link doesn't work
- "Video not found" for a share link. The post may be in a private group, set to Friends, or deleted. Open the link in a private browser window; if Facebook asks you to log in, it can't be downloaded.
- Only an SD option appears. The video was uploaded or stored in low resolution. Facebook doesn't keep an HD copy for every video.
- The link opens a photo post. Some posts mix photos and a video. Open the video itself (tap it so it plays full screen), then copy that link.
Saving on iPhone, Android or a computer
- iPhone and iPad. In the Facebook app, tap Share and Copy link, then paste it here in Safari. After tapping MP4, Safari keeps the file in Files, in the Downloads folder. Open it and use Share, then Save Video to add it to Photos.
- Android. Copy the link in the Facebook app, paste it here in Chrome and tap MP4. The file goes to the Downloads folder and shows up in your gallery or Files app.
- Windows, Mac and Linux. Copy the address from the browser bar or the post's share menu, paste it here and save the file. It lands in your usual Downloads folder.
MP4 or MP3: which to pick
Choose MP4 to keep the picture and sound. Higher resolutions look sharper but make bigger files; 720p is plenty for phones and chat apps. Choose MP3 when you only need the audio, such as a talk, a song or a podcast clip. MP3 files are much smaller and play on almost any device.
After you download
- Compress the video to make it smaller for WhatsApp, Discord or email.
- Trim the video to keep only the part you need.
- Turn it into a GIF for chats and slides.
- Convert it to WebM, MOV or another format.
- Extract the audio from an MP4 you already saved.
These tools run in your browser, so the video doesn't need to be uploaded again.

About Facebook downloads
Facebook's own "Save video" only bookmarks a post inside the app. To keep an actual file, paste the video or Reel link here and download it as MP4 or MP3.
Facebook usually offers two versions of a video: SD (often 360p to 480p) and HD (720p or 1080p) when the uploader posted in HD. The buttons show what's available for that link. Older videos and videos shared through Messenger are often SD only.
How it works
Copy the link
Open the post on Facebook and use Share, then Copy link.
Paste it here
Press "Get video" to see the title and the formats you can save.
Save the file
Pick MP4 or MP3. The file is ready in a few seconds.
Questions
Can I download Facebook Reels in HD?
Yes, when the Reel was uploaded in HD. Pick the highest MP4 option to get the best quality Facebook offers.
Can I download a Facebook live video?
Not while it's live. Once the stream ends and Facebook publishes the recording, it can be saved if it's 30 minutes or shorter.
Can I download Facebook videos on Android?
Yes. In the Facebook app tap Share, then Copy link, open this page in Chrome, paste the link and tap MP4. The file goes to your Downloads folder.
Is this Facebook downloader free?
Yes. There is no sign-up, no app to install and no watermark added to your file.
How do I download a Facebook video?
Copy the link of a public post on Facebook, paste it in the box above and press "Get video". Pick MP4 or MP3, then save the file.
Can I download private posts?
No. Only public posts work. Private, friends-only, paid and DRM-protected content can't be saved.
Do you keep my files?
Files are stored on our server only while you download them and are deleted automatically within one hour. We don't keep a history of links.
Is it legal to download videos?
Download only videos you made yourself or have permission to use. Most platforms' terms don't allow saving other people's content, and re-uploading it can break copyright law.
