How is age calculated?
Your age is the number of whole years since your date of birth, then the whole months since your last birthday, then the days left over. Someone born on 15 January 2000 is 26 years, 9 months and 7 days old on 22 October 2026. Months have different lengths, so the calculator counts real calendar months rather than 30-day blocks, the same way forms and official documents do.
Change the second date to find someone's age on a past or future date, for example on an application deadline or an exam day. People born on 29 February have their birthday on 28 February in years without a leap day. Everything happens in your browser, so nothing you type is sent to our server.
