Change image to 300 DPI

Set JPG and PNG images to 300 DPI for print shops and forms. The pixels don't change, so quality stays exactly the same.

How do I change an image to 300 DPI?

Add your images. 300 DPI is already selected, so click Download at 300 DPI. Only the DPI label stored in the file changes; the pixels are untouched, so the image looks identical on screen.

At 300 DPI, an image prints at its pixel width ÷ 300 inches. A 3000 × 2000 pixel photo prints at 10 × 6.7 inches. If that's too small for your print, the photo needs more pixels, not a higher DPI number.

How it works

  1. Add JPG or PNG images

See their current DPI and print size.

  2. Keep 300 DPI selected

    Or choose another value.

  3. Download

    Same pixels, new DPI.

Questions

Does 300 DPI make my image better quality?

No. It changes the print size label only. Print quality depends on the number of pixels.

The print shop says my image is too small. What now?

It needs more pixels for that print size. Try the image upscaler, or use a larger original.

How do I convert an image to 300 DPI?

Add the image, keep 300 DPI selected and download. The pixels stay the same; only the print size label changes, which is what print shops and forms check.

Does converting to 300 DPI change the KB size?

Barely. Only a small label inside the file changes, so the file stays about the same size.
