How do I turn text into speech?
Paste or type your text, pick a voice and press Read aloud. You can pause, resume and stop at any time, and change the speed from half to double and the pitch. It's useful for proofreading your own writing, listening to articles and notes while you do something else, learning pronunciation, and helping with dyslexia and other reading difficulties.
The voices are the ones built into your phone or computer, so the choice depends on your device: Windows, macOS, iPhone, Android and ChromeOS each include natural voices for many languages, and some browsers add online voices. Pick a voice whose language matches your text for the best result. Everything happens in your browser, so nothing you type is sent to our server.
