How does the random name picker wheel work?
Type one name or option per line and press Spin the wheel. The winner is chosen first with your browser's secure random number generator, which gives every slice exactly the same chance, then the wheel spins and slows down to land on it. Tick Remove the winner after each spin to pick several different people in a row, such as for a raffle or the order of presentations.
Use it for picking a student to answer, choosing giveaway winners, deciding where to eat, dividing teams or making yes/no decisions. Long names are shortened on the wheel but shown in full as the winner. Everything happens in your browser, so nothing you type is sent to our server.

Questions
Is the wheel really random?
Yes. Each spin uses crypto.getRandomValues, the browser's secure random generator, so every entry has an equal chance.
Can I pick several winners?
Tick Remove the winner after each spin, then spin once for each winner.
How many names can I add?
As many as you like. With more than about 50 the slices get thin, but picking stays fair.
Can I use it for a giveaway?
Yes. Paste the entrants' names, record your screen while you spin, and share the video for transparency.
