Saving on iPhone, Android or a computer

iPhone and iPad. In the app, tap Share and Copy link, then paste it here in Safari. After tapping MP4, Safari keeps the file in Files, in the Downloads folder. Open it and use Share, then Save Video to add it to Photos.
Android. Copy the link in the app, paste it here in Chrome and tap MP4. The file goes to the Downloads folder and shows up in your gallery or Files app.
Windows, Mac and Linux. Copy the address from the browser bar or the post's share menu, paste it here and save the file. It lands in your usual Downloads folder.

MP4 or MP3: which to pick

Choose MP4 to keep the picture and sound. Higher resolutions look sharper but make bigger files; 720p is plenty for phones and chat apps. Choose MP3 when you only need the audio, such as a talk, a song or a podcast clip. MP3 files are much smaller and play on almost any device.

What this downloader does

It takes the link of a public post and gives you the video file that the site plays, as MP4, or just the sound as MP3. You don't install an app or browser extension, and there is no account. The site behind the link is detected automatically, so you can paste an Instagram Reel, a Facebook video or an X post into the same box.

What it can't download

Private accounts, friends-only posts, closed groups and anything that needs a login to watch.
Paid or DRM-protected video, such as streaming services, courses and rentals.
Live streams while they are live, and videos longer than 30 minutes or larger than 250 MB.
YouTube, TikTok and Reddit, which aren't supported.

Privacy

Links aren't stored in a history, and the prepared file is deleted from our server within one hour. Download only videos you made or have permission to use.

After you download

Compress the video to make it smaller for WhatsApp, Discord or email.
Trim the video to keep only the part you need.
Turn it into a GIF for chats and slides.
Convert it to WebM, MOV or another format.
Extract the audio from an MP4 you already saved.

Is it legal to download videos?

Download only videos you made yourself or have permission to use. Most platforms' terms don't allow saving other people's content, and re-uploading it can break copyright law.
