How to remove date stamps, text and objects from photos

Short answer: open remove watermark, add your photo and press Find watermark automatically to mark text, captions and date stamps. Check the red marks, then press Remove. For anything without letters, paint over it with the brush and let go; AI fills the spot to match the surroundings.
How it works
- Finding text: an AI text detector (PP-OCR) marks every caption, date stamp and text watermark it can see.
- Filling the gap: an AI inpainting model (MI-GAN) looks at the pixels around the painted area and fills it so it blends in.
Anything you didn't paint stays exactly as it was. The model (about 40 MB) downloads the first time and then stays cached. Your photo never leaves your device.

- Press Find watermark automatically, or paint over the area with the brush.
- Press Remove, or let go of the brush.
- If a faint outline is left, paint over it again. Each pass improves the result, and Undo takes you back.

Use it responsibly
Use it on your own photos or photos you have permission to edit: scans with date stamps, product shots with a stray logo, holiday pictures with a passer-by. Removing someone else's watermark to reuse their work can break copyright law.
Questions
Why is there a smudge where the mark was?
The AI has to guess what was underneath. Paint over the smudge again with a slightly bigger brush so the whole mark and its edges are covered.
What size can my photo be?
Any size you can open. Photos larger than 4000 pixels on the longest side are reduced to 4000 pixels.
How do I hide something instead of removing it?
Use blur or pixelate, or a black box for sensitive details.
