How to watermark photos with your logo or name
Updated 21 October 2026
Tool for this guide: Watermark maker
Short answer: open the watermark maker, add your photos, choose your logo (or type your name), put it in a bottom corner at 40–70% opacity, and download. Every photo in the batch gets the same watermark, scaled to its size.
Two tools, same result
| Tool | Starts with | Best for |
|---|---|---|
| Watermark maker | A logo image | Brands, photographers, shops |
| Add a watermark | A line of text | Quick name or © credit |
Both can switch between logo and text, and both handle up to 50 photos at once.
Step by step
- Open the watermark maker and add up to 50 photos.
- Choose Logo image and select your logo, or type text.
- Pick a position (nine spots or a repeating pattern), the size as a percentage of the photo's width, and the opacity.
- Download each photo, or all of them as a ZIP.
Your photos and logo stay on your device.
Where to put a watermark
| Goal | Placement | Opacity |
|---|---|---|
| Subtle credit | Bottom-right or bottom-left corner | 40–70% |
| Harder to remove | Repeating pattern across the photo | 20–40% |
| Proof copies for clients | Large, centred | 30–50% |
Tips
- Use a transparent logo. A PNG or WebP logo with a transparent background looks cleanest. You can make one with remove background.
- Size by width, not pixels. Because the size is a percentage of each photo's width, the mark looks the same on large and small images.
- Watermark the final version. Resize and compress first, then watermark.
Questions
Can a watermark be removed?
Small corner watermarks can be cropped out. A repeating watermark across the image is much harder to remove.
Can I watermark a PDF?
Yes, with watermark PDF, which stamps text such as CONFIDENTIAL or DRAFT on every page.
