How to merge videos into one
Updated 21 October 2026
Tool for this guide: Merge videos
Short answer: open merge videos, add your clips, put them in order with the arrows and press Merge videos. You get one MP4 with the sound kept, and clips of different sizes are fitted together neatly.
Step by step
- Open merge videos and add two or more clips: MP4, MOV, WebM and MKV can be mixed.
- Use the arrows to put them in order.
- Optionally choose Up to 720p for a faster result.
- Merge and download one MP4.
Your videos are never uploaded, and no watermark is added.
How clips are combined
- Every clip is fitted into the same frame, the size of the first clip unless you choose otherwise, at 30 frames per second.
- Clips with a different shape get black bars rather than being stretched.
- Clips without sound get silence, so the audio stays in sync.
Why it takes a while
Each clip is re-encoded so they all match. In a browser that's roughly real time on a laptop for 720p: ten minutes of clips takes about ten minutes. To speed it up:
- Choose Up to 720p.
- Use a computer rather than a phone.
- Trim unwanted parts before merging.
Prepare your clips
| Problem | Fix first |
|---|---|
| A clip is sideways | Rotate video |
| Clips have different shapes | Crop video them to the same ratio |
| A clip has unwanted sound | Mute video |
| Result too big to send | Compress video afterwards |
Questions
Is there a length limit?
No fixed limit, but very long or high-resolution videos may need more memory than a phone has.
