How much can a JPEG be compressed?
Most phone and camera JPGs are saved at very high quality, so they can usually be made half the size or smaller with no difference you can see on screen. In our test, a 4000 × 2250 JPG of 1.8 MB became 671 KB at Recommended and 971 KB at Light.
Photos stay as JPG, and camera data such as GPS location is removed. Everything happens in your browser, so your files are never uploaded.
