Tool for this guide: JPG to PDF
Short answer: open JPG to PDF, add your images, put them in order, choose A4 or Letter and click Create PDF. You get one PDF with one image per page.
Page size options
| Option | What it does | Best for |
|---|---|---|
| A4 | Standard page; landscape images get landscape pages | Documents outside North America |
| Letter | US standard page | Documents in the US and Canada |
| Fit image | Each page is exactly the size of its image | Photo albums, slides, screenshots |
Margins add white space around each image, which looks better when printed.
Step by step
- Open JPG to PDF and add JPG, PNG, WebP, GIF or BMP images.
- Put them in order.
- Choose the page size and margin.
- Create the PDF and download it.
Photos from phones are shown the right way up, and nothing is uploaded.
Scan documents with your phone
- Put the page on a dark, flat surface in good light.
- Take a photo straight from above, filling the screen with the page.
- Repeat for each page.
- Add the photos here in order, choose A4 or Letter, and create the PDF.
For cleaner scans, crop each photo to the page edges first. To make the text searchable, run the pages through image to text (OCR).
Making the PDF smaller
Phone photos are large, so the PDF can be too. Either compress the images before converting, or compress the PDF afterwards.
