Top 10 free tools for website owners
Short answer: most website chores come down to the same ten jobs: shrinking images, converting them to WebP, making a favicon, making a link preview image, preparing responsive image sizes, checking JSON, shortening links, making QR codes, removing photo metadata and checking image sizes. Each tool below is free, needs no account and runs in your browser.
We built these tools, so this list only includes our own. For each one we say what it's for, when it matters and what to watch out for.

1. Image compressor
Images are usually the heaviest part of a page. Large images slow the page down and hurt your Largest Contentful Paint score. The image compressor handles up to 50 images at once. In our test, the Recommended level cut a 1.8 MB photo to 671 KB without a visible difference.
Tip: resize before you compress. A 4000-pixel photo shown 1200 pixels wide wastes most of its pixels. See how to compress images without losing quality.
2. JPG to WebP
WebP files are usually 25–35% smaller than JPG at the same visual quality, and every current browser supports them. Use JPG to WebP for photos, and keep a JPG copy if you also need the image in email. More in WebP vs JPG vs PNG and AVIF vs WebP.
3. Website asset pack
A new site needs a favicon, Apple and Android icons, a web manifest, a link preview (Open Graph) image and the matching <head> tags. The website asset pack generator makes all of them from one logo and gives you a ZIP to upload.
4. Favicon generator
If you only need the tab icon, the favicon generator makes favicon.ico plus the PNG sizes. Our favicon checklist lists every file and tag.
5. SEO image pack
The SEO image pack turns one image into responsive WebP and AVIF sizes with descriptive file names and a ready <picture> / srcset snippet. That helps both speed and image search. Background: responsive images with srcset.
6. Social media resizer
When a link is shared, platforms show a preview image, usually 1200 × 630. The social media resizer has the exact sizes for previews, posts and banners. See Open Graph image size.
7. JSON formatter
A single missing comma in a config file or API response can break a whole feature. The JSON formatter points to the exact line and tidies the file. If you're stuck, read how to fix invalid JSON.
8. Link shortener
Short links are easier to print, read aloud and fit in a bio. The link shortener makes saveformenow.com links. Read how to shorten a link first.
9. QR code generator
A QR code on a flyer, menu or package sends people straight to a page. The QR code generator exports PNG and SVG. Check the QR code print size guide before printing.
10. EXIF remover
Photos from phones can contain the exact GPS location where they were taken. Before you publish team photos or product shots, run them through the EXIF remover. Background: what is EXIF data.
How to use them together
A typical routine for a new page:
- Resize and compress the photos, then convert them to WebP.
- Remove location data from anything shot on a phone.
- Make the link preview image at 1200 × 630.
- Check any JSON or config you edited.
- Before launch, run through the website launch checklist.
